Frank’s Blog : People Don’t Care

People don’t care until they know how much you care.

I have been wondering why most companies treat their people like they are towels and they are trying to squeeze them and get as much water out as they can.

People are people, we are not machines. Managers can’t expect to get the best of us all the time yet they do and they penalize you if you are not at your best all the time.

What would happen if they cared? Instead of saying go go go, the company needs this, or the customer wants this. What if they asked you hey how are you? We need to get to this level of output and I know you can do it. On days you don’t feel like you can, come to me, talk to me, let me know what’s going on in your life. Is it a sick child? A hard time in your marriage? A sick parent? Are you feeling down or having some issues?

Have some grace and care for your people. It’s the only way to win long term.

Until you care, your people will not care.
