A child that grows up with a parent who goes back and forth between loving and aggressive and violent, between hugging and slapping; is a child who sometimes becomes intensely responsible for thinking that he/she created the inter-state of the parent or that it’s his/her responsibility to change the parent’s mood, and they experience a sense of dread about it, and an uber sense of responsibility for it.
