Frank’s Blog : Time And Health

In our younger years, we spend time to earn money and once we’re old, we spend money to earn time.

We spend money on doctors, we invest in a nice bed to get a good night sleep, we get a personal trainer/gym membership to keep up with our health, some get a nutritionist to eat healthier and a personal assistance to deal with calls and emails.

It seems like the older we get, the less healthier and the more vulnerable we become. Is there such a thing as getting old and being less vulnerable?

Instead of spending all our time to earn money in our early and middle age, what if we

  • Slept 8 to 9 hrs/night.
  • Exercised for 15 to 20 min/day.
  • Took a 10 min walk/day.
  • Drank 2 liters of water/day.
  • Ate less fried food and more vegetables. (by this I mean no fried food for 6 days in a week)

If we did just that, I wounder what would happen to the money we spend in our late years, how vulnerable would we be? and how much time we would get instead!
