Here is your weekly dose of “5-Frank Points Friday,” a list of what I’m pondering and exploring.
What I just finished watching –
RBG Movie – A very powerful documentary on what Ruth Bader Ginsburg did about sex discrimination in the US (you can watch this documentary on Amazon or at rbgmovie.com).
In an era where men, who had all the power, did not believe there is no such thing as sex discrimination, Ruth Bader Ginsburg took a stand and fought for all women to have equal rights as men. Throughout America and It’s beginnings, women were treated as inferior, subordinate, waste of human resources, dependent, too weak to vote,… She fought hard and stood for something. She passed away last week on September 18th due to complications from Pancreatic cancer according to Wikipedia.
A true hero. #restinhonor
What I’m listening –
“Acha Nikae Kimya by Diamond Platnumz“. I don’t know Swahili, yet I’ve loved this song for quite a while; mostly because of the beat of the song and also I’m a huge fan of Diamond. Very recently this song kept coming up in my head as I haven’t listened to it for a little while, and I have been listening to it almost every single day for the past few days, on my way to work and on my way back. I finally had the curiosity to find out what the song means, and here is the first part of the song translated into English (from lyricstranslate.com):

What I’m reading –
“Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters: 10 secrets every father should know“. A great book by Dr. Meg Meeker. She explains why an active father figure is maybe the single most important factor in a young woman’s development and shows how a father can be both counsel and protector for his daughter as she grows into a spiritually and mentally strong young woman.
What I’m thinking –
How cool would it be to talk to my friends and family in a recorded conversation? Where they talk about what they have gone through thus far, how they managed to get to be where they are, how they view life in the present and what they think about the future. And I want to record these mainly for me to get to know the people close to me and that I care about on a deeper level but also for them to get to hear what they have managed to go through so far and to realize the road ahead of them in their own words.
