This weekend I learned that lightning is 4 times hotter than the surface of the sun. According to NASA, the surface of the sun is 11,000 Fahrenheit degrees and lightning is 50,000 Fahrenheit degrees. I didn’t think their was something hotter than the surface of the sun, and that’s why this was interesting to me.
